I believe you should know the person behind the business card . . .
SO HERE’S MY STORY!
I dreamed of owning a business and I made it happen. The problem? I kept pursuing ventures that only served my clients, leaving little room to take care of myself. A health crisis forced me to create a business that served me too.

There have been two crises that changed my life. I want to share the story of these moments and how they shaped who I am today. It all started in Boston, where I was born. From a young age, I dreamed of owning my own business and being my own boss. At the same time, I felt a strong pull to serve my country, so I enrolled in the military and completed basic training. The military taught me discipline—how to get up at 5 a.m. and work even when I didn’t feel like it—and the importance of teamwork. It shaped my mindset and work ethic.
After basic training, I pursued my college education, yet, I still felt directionless. I decided to interview businesspeople I knew to learn about their philosophies and money-making strategies. Those conversations were invaluable, giving me a broader perspective on business, and I eventually opened a furniture company. We sold and installed furniture, and it was the first time I had employees. I learned that working with the right team is key in business and in life. By this time, I also had a family! I married Tara in my twenties and together we had three children: Cody, Mackenzie, and Cassia. We had the dream house with the backyard and the dog—the quintessential American Dream. That’s when the first crisis of my life hit.

I was consumed by chronic stress, not able to stop working or thinking about work. Sleep eluded me and unease became my companion.
Recognizing the toll on my body, I made a drastic decision: I shut down the company. I also started going to the gym more frequently, focusing on restoring my physical health, and eventually became so passionate about fitness that I opened a gym. The business thrived, and I was eventually approached by a company that trained gym owners to run their business, market themselves and coach their teams. I joined them, but it led to the second crisis of my life: I had ethical concerns about how the company treated its clients. That experience taught me that I have to believe in the product in order to sell it. It has to be genuinely helping people, otherwise, I’m out. I left the company, once again finding myself at a crossroads, unsure of my next move.
I returned to the strategy that had worked for me in my 20s: interviewing people I trusted. Over coffee, I asked successful friends for advice on changing careers. To my surprise, all five of them suggested real estate, and I got my license in 2018. People warned me that the first year would be tough, with few transactions expected. I ended up closing 21 transactions in my first year, placing me in the top 8% of individual agents regionally. Real estate revealed an important truth, one that I had been missing – a successful business must serve both its clients and its owner. In my previous ventures, I helped others but neglected myself. Real estate allowed me to strike that balance, serving others while keeping me motivated, engaged and healthy.
Today, I still own the gym, now 20 years strong. I’m proud of my family and the reputation I’ve built as a REALTOR®. Outside of work, I enjoy building old cars, fishing, Martial Arts and spending quality time with Tara and my adult children. Tara and I make it a point to go on dates and have meaningful conversations, even after more than 20 years of marriage. As a Freemason, I work hard at improving the person that I am as well as those around me. We also raise funds and collect food for homeless shelters, and work with other charitable organizations.
After 30 years of doing business, I’ve learned that, for me to give my best to others, I must take care of myself too. I’m grateful for the challenges and lessons – even the crises – that have shaped my journey, bringing me closer to a fulfilling life.
I love opening the possibility of homeownership to those who considered it impossible. Many people hold limiting beliefs about owning a home, but with the right support, it’s achievable. I work alongside a trusted team—a lender and an attorney—who share my commitment to helping clients realize their dreams. Together, we handle the details and problem-solve quickly and effectively. When clients join us, they become part of our family, benefiting from our collective expertise to find solutions.
Negotiation is one of my key strengths. I craft deals that secure the house my clients want, often using innovative strategies to satisfy all parties. Additionally, I maintain a network of trusted professionals, from plumbers to design consultants, ensuring any needs that arise are addressed.
I specialize in both residential and investment properties, helping buyers and sellers navigate the market. For me, a home is more than a place to live; it’s a valuable investment. I educate clients on maximizing this investment, opening up possibilities they may not have considered. My goal is to simplify, solve, and deliver results.
